Mental Health is a topic I am slowly opening up more about on this blog. It’s something that impacts my everyday, therefore I wanted to ensure I am being honest with you, my readers. Over the next few months I am teaming up with bran Rescue Remedy! It is a brand I use everyday and something that’s become part of my daily life, whether it’s an anxious day like heading off flying, or a day at the office.
Rescue Remedy is the most famous of the Bach remedies, but in fact is not ‘a remedy’ at all. Instead it’s a blend of five different Bach Flower Remedies created to deal with emergencies and crises. It can be used to help you get through any stressful situations, from last-minute exam or interview nerves, to the aftermath of an accident or bad news. Rescue Remedy can help you relax, refocus and find calm.
I have done some recent posts on ‘5 TOP TIPS FOR NERVOUS FLYERS‘ where I talk about my fear of flying, and the steps I take in order to travel. This summer I have lots of trips coming up and I am going to need to conquer my fears when it comes to flying. I do this through a variety of ways, including getting lots of sleep, doing yoga, using essential oils and packing my favourite Rescue Remedy.
I also spoke about my mental health journey in April, on Mental Health Awareness Week, with my post ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH‘. Too many of us experience daily life as a battle. Emotionally, our heads are only just above water. Holding onto our jobs, managing our family life, paying our bills sometimes threaten to overwhelm us. This is often how I feel through my bad phases, that I cannot cope with the basics of life and you learn to accept that this is just standard practice in our lives; experiencing high levels of anxiety, stress and depression are the price we have to pay for keeping our lives on track. But we shouldn’t be simply surviving…. we should be using our illness’ to our advantage. Using our highs to thrive, and using our lows to recoup and look after ourselves.
And I also offered you some top tips on improving your sleeping patterns with my post ‘HOW TO GET A GREAT NIGHTS SLEEP’. If you know me, you’ll know I love sleep. I get so disjointed when I don’t sleep I end up anxious and moody. There is literally no point in me getting out of bed unless I have had my eight hours sleep. I talk about how I help myself sleep!
And in aid of summer approaching, school holidays, early flights, and lots of sleepless nights I have teamed up with Rescue Remedy to give away a wellbeing package including an array of products from their range. The prize included: Bach Rescue Remedy Dropper- 20ml, Bach Rescue Remedy Plus Orange & Elderflower – 10 Lozenges, Rescue Chewing Gum 37g and Bach Rescue Night Liquid Melts 28 Capsules 1.8g, worth £40! Plus I will also throw in a book too, to kick start your summer holidays…
