Seasonal Prints with Posterlounge (+ COMPETITION!)

It’s autumn which means I begin to change my interiors arrangement, in anticipation for the colder months. I start getting the fire ready, bundle all the wood in the log store, get out all of our cosy blankets, and most importantly change up our framed prints around the house. Prints have played a massive part in the design of our house, whether it be quotes, graphics or photography of nature.

Our existing prints where very summer orientated with palm trees, cactus and beaches featuring in many of the frames in the bedroom and the living room, therefore I decided to place an order with my favourite print company Posterlounge, who are an online art publishing house based in Germany and they have some amazing prints for your bedroom, office and living room.

There’s nothing like wall art to breathe new life into a space, and if you think that counts you out because art doesn’t come cheap, then try wall prints instead. I love dressing my walls with natural and simplistic prints, that add personality to each room. Not only are their prints super cool, capturing all the latest interior trends, they are top quality too.

The two themes I usually follow are: quotes and nature. The bedroom must have inspirational and thought-provoking prints, which awake your mind in the morning, or settle you down for sleep. The kitchen should have prints that are related to food, whether that is a butcher’s guide to beef, or a wall print of herbs for cooking. Whilst the office, should have educational or historic links to induce creativity.

I ordered most of these prints as paper versions and then opted to buy my own frames from IKEA, however you can order them ready framed if you wish. Because most of my prints were quite simple, I decided to stick to simple black and white frames, in order not to distract any attention from the print. I then spent a Sunday afternoon last weekend in the living room with a cup of coffee, and got to work swapping over my prints to my winter theme.

For the living room I decided to put up the Reindeer Antler Christmas print as the centre piece in my lounge, as it was eye-catching and a statement piece, and I then I placed four prints around it. I put up One Day At A Time,  Trust your crazy ideas, Frida and Graphic Mountains! All of these looked great together on the wall, with opposing colours, and themes.

For my office I grabbed myself City Signs Travel Locations and Monstera which I will put up towards the end of the month. And lastly but not least for my bedroom I grabbed myself an astrology themed print, of my star sign Cancer.
