Best Spots for Afternoon Tea in the Cotswolds

Where are the Best Spots for Afternoon Tea in the Cotswolds I hear you ask!!!

Afternoon tea has got to be one of England’s most iconic traditions! From the delicate finger sandwiches to the delicious cakes and scones followed by a steaming mug of tea; there is nothing better to bridge the gap between lunch and dinner.

Which is where this long tradition originated back in the 1840s when the Duchess of Bedford found herself becoming hungry between a midday lunch until dinner which was typically served late into the evening.

However, it wasn’t just the food that became tradition, the location was also important with most afternoon teas becoming synonymous with the beautiful English countryside and gardens. Which is why the Cotswolds with its traditional buildings, gorgeous landscape and delicious local food is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea!

So, today I thought I would share my favourite places across the Cotswolds to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea!
