It’s edging closer to the end of the year and with that thought in mind, it’s time to plan your New Years Eve in New York plans! With the end of the decade rapidly approaching, it is more important than ever to find the perfect way to celebrate this New Year’s Eve. For New Yorkers seeking a night to remember, without the overwhelming crowds of Times Square, they can look no further than local hotspots The Bowery Hotel, Refinery Hotel, Renaissance Times Square, and New York Marriott Marquis and more, to bid farewell to 2019 and start the new year off with a bang. 

If you live in New York City or have always dreamed of celebrating new years in the big apple, there’s certainly no shortage of hotels and more importantly hotel parties to choose from. So from a swanky soirées at The Bowery, to an iconic VIP package at Refinery Hotel, here are the seven best hotel parties at every budget to help you celebrate the most epic new years eve to date. And from some of these hotels you can even see Times Square at midnight on New Years Eve.

You can catch a glimpse of the huge, crystal-covered ball that famously signals the New Year in Times Square or head to one of the many hotels in NYC at New Year, and clink champagne glasses as the clock strikes 12. Truth is, you can’t really go wrong spending New Years Eve in New York. But however you ring in the New Year in New York, the night will eventually end, and you’ll need a place to rest.

Arguably the trendiest hotel in New York City, The Bowery Hotel is offering a glitzy and glamorous way usher in 2020 with its New York’s Eve event, curated by the Bowery Collective. Inspired by the extravagant world of Studio 54, attendees will immerse themselves in the nostalgia of the shimmering opulence of disco, roller girls, go go dancers and more.

From 9:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m., guests will be treated to premium complimentary cocktails, a champagne lounge with fresh fruit and house-made purées to customize their bubbly, an outdoor Irish coffee bar from Slane Irish Whiskey, DJ sets, midnight snacks “NYC style” from Joe’s Pizza and several other lavish surprises. Offering general admission tickets and VIP tables, this New York City hotspot will deliver a grandiose night to remember, starting the new decade off with a bang. 2. Refinery Hotel

Refinery Hotel is offering travelers and New Yorkers alike exclusive and extravagant opportunities to ring in the new year the iconic New York City way, with multiple events being hosted throughout the properties venues this year. Most exclusive, the hotel is offering this first-ever VIP Package which includes accommodations for two, access to a private VIP dinner in Winnie’s Lounge featuring their special New Year’s Eve Menu followed by a private escort to Times Square to witness the ball drop. Guests can then return from the excitement and head straight to Refinery Rooftop to finish out the night at the premium open bar. (rates start at $3,889)

Additionally, Refinery Rooftop will host its annual New Year’s Eve Party, featuring unobstructed views of the Empire State Building, bubbly toasts, and live entertainment. Starting at 9 pm, guests can indulge in a four-hour premium open bar as well as passed hors d’oeuvres including crab beignets, deviled eggs and more. Attendees can choose from three different package options to ring in the new year:

  1. General Admission (ticket price: $150) includes Standing room
  1. VIP Gold Tickets (ticket price: $250) includes Table Service Atrium & Living Room, Private VIP table for the duration of the evening including bottle and cocktail service
  1. VIP Platinum Tickets (ticket price: $350) includes Table Service Tent with a view of the Empire State Building, Private VIP table for the duration of the evening including bottle and cocktail service

3. Renaissance New York Times Square

A coveted terrace room at the Renaissance New York Times Square will give guests a front-row seat to the iconic, bucket list New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square. The large, redesigned rooms are located on the fourth floor of the hotel, and feature spacious outdoor areas with sweeping views of the entire party below, including an unmatched view the ball drop!

Before midnight, a magnum of Champagne and snacks are sent to the room, and after the night of excitement, guests start the New Year right with a delectable buffet breakfast with the hotel’s general manager. Both the terrace room closest to the ball drop and the terrace room with the largest outdoor terrace are $35,000 while the other terrace rooms are $25,000.

And if guests are looking for an extravagant party atmosphere, the black-tie event at the hotel’s RLounge is the place to be. This year’s theme is “Nothing is black and white in 2020” and the swanky event will feature live entertainment from the incredible DJ, Danny Estrella, as well as a full premium open bar, Champagne to toast to the new year, and elaborate chef’s stations inclusive of hand-made sushi, lobster tails, and filet.

4. New York Marriott Marquis

Guests can ring in the new year at New York Marriott Marquis. The Broadway Lounge on the 8th floor will be the venue for the third annual “Marquis New Year’s Eve Party.” The exclusive party, which is produced by Matt Gavin Enterprises, includes food, premium open bars, live entertainment, and some tickets include access to breathtaking views of one of the most famous New Year’s Eve traditions — the Times Square Ball Drop. General admission tickets start at $500 per person. If you’re looking for a unique dinner option, located on the 48th floor of the hotel, The View Restaurant & Lounge will be offering a “luscious” five course meal, open bar, and DJ spinning on night long.
