We are off to the South Downs for Outdoor Adventure Girls weekend #7
Outdoor Adventure Girls big weekends are designed to give you the time to reconnect with yourself, get outdoors in nature and connect with other women.
We now host OAG retreats all over the UK throughout the year, this being our second weekend away, with more to come in 2022.

THE LOCATION
South Downs
The South Downs National Park is England’s newest national park. The national park is a beauty, with incredible coastline stretching for 140 kilometres from Winchester in the west to Eastbourne in the east through the counties of Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex.
The national park covers the chalk hills of the South Downs (which on the English Channel coast form the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head) and a substantial part of a separate physiographic region, the western Weald, with its heavily wooded sandstone and clay hills and vales.
The South Downs Way spans the entire length of the park and is the only National Trail that lies wholly within a national park.

A PDF itinerary will be sent to all booked guests one month before the event, with all details needed to attend the weekend.
There is also a WhatsApp chat for all attendees to plan car sharing and chatting before.

Friday 28 October
4pm onwards: Check in to YHA South Downs
And then meet your dorm mates and grab a drink
7pm: Welcome from OAG
7:30pm: Welcome dinner

Saturday 29 October
7.30am: Breakfast at YHA South Downs
8am: Meet in reception
9am-5pm: GROUP OUTDOOR ACTIVITY DAY
The day will include the group competing in teams to be the ultimate winners, through a variety of activities and tasks.
Activities will include: team building, bush-craft, mindfulness and campfire cooking.
5pm: Free time
7.30pm: Dinner

Sunday 30 October
8.00am: Breakfast at YHA South Downs
9.00am: Check out
10am: Group hike along the Seven Sisters Cliffs
2pm: Lunch at a local pub (location TBC)

THE ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation for the weekend is the stunning YHA South Downs.
Opened officially by HRH the Queen in 2013, YHA South Downs is a uniquely refurbished Sussex farmhouse in an enviable location right on the South Downs Way. Perfect for anyone wanting to walk in the rolling Sussex countryside, the hostel is surrounded by the hills of the South Downs National Park, and enjoys substantial grounds of its own.
The lively town of Brighton is just a 25-minute train journey away too, with Southease station literally on the hostel’s doorstep, meaning visitors can easily enjoy the best of both worlds.
Our accommodation for the trip will be in 4-bed and 6-bed dorms, exclusive to our group.

Seven Sisters group hike (approx. 10km)

Travel to and from the weekend
Saturday lunch is not included as we will be out and about – bring a packed lunch with you.
