- A spacious tent
First and foremost, you’re going to need somewhere to sleep, so it’s crucial that you invest in a spacious tent. The number of people who are joining you on your camping trip will determine the size of tent you’ll need, so make sure you get one that provides enough space for everyone to snooze comfortably.
Unless you go for a pop-up model, you might want to practice putting up your tent. Usually, there is a certain knack to constructing traditional style tents, so you may find it useful to have a couple of run-throughs before you leave for your camping adventure. This will save you a lot of time and fuss when you arrive at your destination.
- A cosy sleeping bag
Even if the forecast is set to be sunny and hot during the day, temperatures can drop of an evening. So, to ensure that you’re warm throughout the night, it’s important that you take a cosy sleeping bag with you.
To take your camping game to the next level, you could also take a sleeping mat. When placed underneath your sleeping bag, this accessory provides you with additional padding against the hard ground.
- A couple of comfy chairs
When you’re not exploring the great outdoors, you’ll need to somewhere to sit and relax, so don’t forget to take a couple of comfy chairs with you. There are a number of different seating solutions you can choose from, including styles with in-built drinks holders and large, moon-shaped versions for extra comfort. Usually, camping chairs are fully collapsible, meaning you can fold them up and move them around with ease.
- Bug repellent and sunscreen
While you might love the idea of being at one with nature, it’s important that you put your health first. Bug repellent is a must to help keep pesky insects at bay, while sunscreen is essential to protect your skin from the sun’s harsh rays. So, when it comes to toiletries, make sure these two products are on your packing list.
- An abundance of food and drinks
Especially if you’re heading to the middle of nowhere for your camping holiday, it’s crucial that you take enough food and drink with you to last the entire trip. If you’re not going to have access to a shop nearby, make sure you stock up on your favourite treats before you leave.
