We now host OAG retreats all over the UK throughout the year, this being our second weekend away, with more to come in 2022.

THE LOCATION
For Outdoor Adventure Girls – BIG WEEKEND #5 we are heading to the beautiful Lake District.
The Lake District is a region and national park in Cumbria in northwest England. A popular vacation destination, it’s known for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations. Market towns such as Kendal, Ambleside and Keswick on scenic Derwentwater are bases for exploring the area and home to traditional inns, galleries of local art and outdoor equipment shops.
We will be based for the weekend in Ambleside, with a hike planned locally on the Saturday (likely to be Scafell Pike or another challenging hike nearby) and then on the Sunday we will head on to the water, with paddleboarding and another group activity, before a beautiful Sunday roast.

THE ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation for the weekend is the stunning YHA Ambleside.
The accommodation has an array of options but for this weekend we will be hiring 4-bed dorms for our group.

A PDF itinerary will be sent to all booked guests one month before the event, with all details needed to attend the weekend. There is also a WhatsApp chat for all attendees to plan car sharing and chatting before.

Friday 15 July
5pm onwards: Check in to YHA Ambleside
And then meet your dorm mates and grab a drink
7pm: Welcome from OAG
7:30pm: Welcome dinner

Saturday 16 July
8.30am: Breakfast at YHA Ambleside
9am: Meet in reception with the group to head out on our day hike
(we have a guide for this hike)
4pm: Back to YHA
5pm: Free time to read, take a shower or spend time connecting with new friends
7.30pm: Dinner

Sunday 17 July
8.30am: Breakfast at YHA Ambleside
9am: Check out
10am: Paddle boarding session with the group (single, double and giant paddleboards available)
1pm: Lunch at a local pub (Sunday roast)
3pm: Depart
