On my trip to Jersey last month we stayed at the The Royal Yacht Hotel, a super stylish hotel with views over the marina in the town of St Helier. Our Jersey accommodation is a resort in itself, offering guests a choice of four restaurants, three bars and award-winning spa. It was the perfect base for our weekend exploring the island of Jersey!
If you want a great location, with the added benefit of being in the thick of it, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops, this is the Jersey accommodation for you. Located smack bang in the middle of St Helier, the Royal Yacht Hotel is the place to visit, eat, and drink for both locals and tourists.
Downstairs you’ll find the popular Zephyr café spill onto Weighbridge Place, the classy cocktail bar on the second floor Drift bar, as well as fine dining Sirocco restaurant on the first floor. You really are spoilt for choice at this stunning hotel, and from the outside you’d never guess there was so much incorporated within their four walls. Make sure you check out Sirocco restaurant, with its open kitchen, Zephyr’s all-day dining and in the old building is the Grill, where you can order steak any which way.

As the name suggests, this hotel’s decor and interior style, echoes that of a five star luxury yacht: from the fixtures and fittings, use of wood and chrome and balconies formed with sheets of curved glass to create waves across the front of the building. There are also chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, as well as silver buttoned upholstery. The hotel is full of elegance and style, around every corner.
Downstairs in the basement, the hotel has its very own spa! Spa Sirene is an adult-only subterranean haven with vitality pool, sauna, aromatherapy steam room and experience showers. Treatments such as the Lavender Lullaby incorporate local ingredients alongside Phytomer skincare products. We were both booked in for a 75 minute treatment each: I went for a facial with back massage, whilst Theo opted for the mens Captain’s Choice! Both our treatments were amazing and we left feeling refreshed and zen.
The bedrooms stand out too, from the luxury sheets, to the touch screen TV and modern ensuite bathrooms. Our room was stunning, with a massive double bed, with hardwood furniture offset by deep blue and bronze soft furnishings, as well as a stunning bathroom, with underfloor heating and separate bath and shower. And they even have two penthouse suites on the top floor if you’re looking for even more extravaganze for your luxury break in at The Royal Yacht in Jersey.
