There is no better feeling after a long walk on the moors, then to step inside a cosy pub or café and enjoy a heart-warming meal or home-baked slice of cake.

And with such a wide expanse of moorland to explore, there are always new places to try out whilst up on Dartmoor. So, today I have compiled a list of my 6 favourite spots to grab a bite to eat.

The Highwayman Inn

Stepping through the antique carriageway door, you will find yourself surrounded by a large collection of eclectic and historical artifacts, which give the place an amazing atmosphere.

This farm shop and café just down the road from the famous Haytor Rocks is the perfect spot for brunch after enjoying a sunrise walk or even a wild swim in Haytor Quarry!

Ullacombe Farm

If you fancy a drink you can find one of the largest selections of local ales and amazing views of the surrounding area.

Warren House

This award-winning pub is a friendly pub and perfect for a Sunday roast after a long hike, or a pint with friends after work. There are also rooms to stay and the atmosphere here is amazing.

Cromwell Arms

If you are looking for a lighter meal their famous cream teas are an amazing treat, which you can enjoy in their cosy lounge in the winter or in the warmer months outside in the beautiful gardens.
