Oh goodbye May, what a fun month you were! I spent the first weekend at home with family, the following weekend I jumped aboard the new cruise ship from Celebrity Cruises, the following weekend we dined at the renovated The Wavendon Arms for sunday lunch, and then the last week in May was spent in Cyprus as a family. I got to have so much fun throughout May, and I was so grateful for all the incredible experiences we got to enjoy, and the fact I got to do many of them with everyone I love was even better. Bring on June!
Sunday Lunches at The Wavendon Arms
Last month, on a sunny afternoon, Theo and I headed to the newly renovated The Wavendon Arms with our friends Grace and Adam to experience the pub, since undergoing their decadent transformation. The pub is part of Mitchell’s & Butler’s pubs, which is a small group known for decadent dining destinations and great food. From the moment we arrived I felt like we had stepped back in time, with the new decor transforming you to something out of the 1950’s, with both the interior and exterior having been given a huge facelift, with copper tones throughout, rich dark colours, golden palms and velvet seating. —> READ BLOG POST
Spending a week in Cyprus
I’ve just returned from a week in wonderful Cyprus and this trip was exactly what the doctor ordered. We stayed on the luxurious Aphrodite Hills Resort, on the south west coast of the island in a gorgeous hillside villa that sleeps six people comfortably. It offered the most incredible views of the Cypriot countryside and beyond, the sparkling ocean. In this blog post I have included everything from what to do, where to eat, when to go and my ultimate Cyprus Itinerary.
It was a holiday of two halves, restful and adventurous. With most mornings jam-packed with activities including boat trips to the blue lagoon, scuba diving and off-roading in the Avakas Gorge, and then afternoons were spent at the on-site spa, relaxing around our private pool and light evenings drinking wine. Exploring the new Celebrity Cruises ship Celebrity Edge
At the start of May Katie and I headed down to Southampton for one of the most unique and fun trips I’ve had in awhile. We boarded Celebrity Cruises European Premiere for three days, to celebrate the launch of their new ship Celebrity Edge. And what a ship it is…. From the moment we arrived to the welcoming staff in the port entrance, to the theatrical entrance, with white balloons and music playing, and that was before we had even boarded the Edge. After we’d checked in, had our security photo taken and then boarded the ship we were in shock at the magnitude of this incredible ship. It didn’t take us long to feel right at home, after being given a glass of prosecco as we stepped in to the lobby, and were shown to our Veranda Stateroom on Deck 12. Celebrity Edge was largely designed by the interior designer Kelly Hoppen MBE, and has a capacity for over 3,900 guests, with innovative features around every corner, fun elements to usually boring environments and blends luxury decor, with playful concepts throughout the entire ship. —> READ BLOG POST

A Weekend in Vienna
Vienna is the beautiful capital city of Austria and was one of the first European countries that I explored as a teenager on a trip to the capital with school. I then returned a few years later as an adult, and explored this wonderful city even further. Vienna is the largest city of Austria and also one of the historic cities through which the river Danube has passed along since time immemorial. The city has much to offer with imperial architecture, street-side cafes, coffee shops galore, cathedrals, open parks and green spaces, and the city also has a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are worth visiting. It’s more than possible to explore this compact city in 48 hours and make sure you grab yourself a Vienna Pass too, which you can pick up at the airport and then see as much as Vienna as possible. So what are you waiting for? Keep reading to find out about our 48 hour Vienna Itinerary. This post includes travel tips, sightseeing and hotel guide for a perfect 2 day Vienna Itinerary. —> READ BLOG POST

7 Reasons to go on a Cruise
As you may know already I love a cruise. I’ve been on two now, one around the Med and one recently around the British Isles, and I am planning a third for sometime next year. Nowadays, the number of destinations you can reach in the world with very little effort is amazing and countries such as New Zealand are now only a flight (or two) from home. However once you land at your selected destination you needn’t stay put or only travel by car or train, instead opt for a cruise, as it is the perfect way to explore an area of the world in a short amount of time. Remote parts of the world are accessible with a cruise like never before, giving you and me the chance to explore new places every single day and learn about new cultures. There are some amazing luxury and last-minute cruise deals which are not only great value; they also give you the opportunity to visit multiple destinations in one trip. And if you hate flying, cruising is also a great way to keep travelling, as you can also go on a cruise that sails from Southampton. —> READ BLOG POST
