Monthly Favourites – August #28

3 days in Lisbon

At the end of August me and Theo headed in to London for a dining experience onboard Bustronome. A fairly new concept to London, this unique experience was so much fun and something I would highly recommend. We had such a fun evening on the Friday evening driving around London whilst being served an amazing six-course meal with wine through the wonderful guys at Bustronome London. We sat on top deck with the panoramic windows above offering amazing views of the city and beyond. The food was also amazing, and our waiter was a lovely guy from Hungary who chatted to us throughout the evening, about why he loves London so much and the history of the company. I really enjoyed the unique experience and I would definitely add it to your London bucket list ❤️ – – – > READ MORE

A girls weekend in Lisbon

After spending 3 days in Lisbon last month, I fell madly in with this cultural city. I’ve pulled together a guide to a Lisbon city break and I’ve done all the research for you including where to stay, where to eat, what to do and how to get there. Three days is the perfect length of time to fully discover Lisbon and within these three days you can visit all of the main areas of the city, and the main tourist attractions. You can also grab yourself a famous pasteis de Nata, visit the imposing São Jorge Castle, take in all the views from the famous Alfama district, walk around Barrio Alto and take photos against the city’s pastel-colored buildings, and there is even enough time to see the Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge.

This huge blog post will provide you with a suggested three day itinerary of Lisbon, which could be used for a short city break or as part of an extended tour of Portugal. And if you’ve got longer than three days in Lisbon, outside the city there is a string of Atlantic beaches, from Cascais to Estoril. Check out my guide to days trips from Lisbon too. – – – > READ ALL MY LISBON POSTS

Stylish Travel with SmartBuyGlasses

A pair of sunglasses are my go-to item for any adventure, whether it’s to a sunny destination or a winter destination. You never know when you might need a pair of stylish sunglasses from SmartBuyGlasses. I was recently gifted a pair of sunglasses from these guys and immediately opted for one of my favourite brands: Ray Ban Sunglasses. I opted for one of their Ray Ban Round Metal frames, which I have worn every single day since I got them. They’re amazing quality and I can’t wait to get another pair for next summer!

Exploring West London

I love London, always have and always will. I regularly feel extremely lucky to have such an iconic and magnificent city on my doorstep. London is one of the most prestigious cities in the world and it certainly has a lot to offer tourists, but what about those of us who live close by, and want to explore without the crowds and chaos? London is home to historical sights, world-class shopping, top-notch sporting, and wild nightlife. I’ve done the tourist attractions multiple times, and when Theo and I decided to head to London last weekend we decided instead to head west and explore the region of South Kensington. Here is my guide to exploring South Kensington and how best to spend 2 days in London, if it’s your first time in the city or you’re back for more – – – > READ MORE

Dinner at Fox & Hounds

Last month, on a sunny Friday evening, Theo and I headed to the newly renovated Fox & Hounds with our friends Harriet and Laurence. We invited our friends along to experience the pub, since launching their new luxurious transformation which includes a brand-new menu and total makeover. The pub is known it’s decadent dining options and great atmosphere. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was exciting and the decor was rich and decadent, with plush velvet sofas, moody lighting and a lovely garden, for late evening summer dining.

Spa weekend at Ragdale Hall & Spa

If you’ve read my blog for longer than a month, you’ll know how much I love a spa day. I’ve been to a lot of spas over the years, as its one of my favourite ways to relax, destress and recover from flying around the world for work. I haven’t’ been to many spas this year, but last year I stayed at Rudding Park in July for my birthday, I then went for a spa day at Y Spa with my best friend before she jets off to South America. I also love to go on a spa day with my mum, and visiting the luxury, all-inclusive Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire is our favourite spa to visit. We’ve been together four times now, so it was about time we visited again. Set amongst the soothing peace of the Leicestershire countryside, the 93 bedroom Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa offers luxurious pampering with a huge range of facilities. – – – > READ MORE

A Weekend in Vienna

Vienna is the beautiful capital city of Austria and was one of the first European countries that I explored as a teenager on a trip to the capital with school. I then returned a few years later as an adult, and explored this wonderful city even further. Vienna is the largest city of Austria and also one of the historic cities through which the river Danube has passed along since time immemorial. The city has much to offer with imperial architecture, street-side cafes, coffee shops galore, cathedrals, open parks and green spaces, and the city also has a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites that are worth visiting. It’s more than possible to explore this compact city in 48 hours and make sure you grab yourself a Vienna Pass too, which you can pick up at the airport and then see as much as Vienna as possible. So what are you waiting for? Keep reading to find out about our 48 hour Vienna Itinerary. This post includes travel tips, sightseeing and hotel guide for a perfect 2 day Vienna Itinerary. —> READ BLOG POST

A weekend stay at Brookmeadow Farm

Last month, during a rare weekend in the UK me and Theo decided to head off about an hour away from home for a weekend at the wonderful Brook Meadow in one of their lodges. Brook Meadow is a family business and run by Mary and Jasper Hart for more than 26 years, set in the peaceful Northamptonshire countryside and situated on a working farm. The site is surrounded by 400 acres of pasture and arable land, with 15 acres designated for holidaying all focused around a five-acre lake – – – > READ MORE
