Give me a spa day, anytime, anywhere! Last month I took the short journey to Aqua Sana Spa Woburn to experience the spa and visit the [comfort zone] pop up.
If you’ve followed my blog for long you will know I love a good spa, I have reviewed various around the country, from Whittlebury to Rockliffe Hall. Wellbeing is a big topic on my blog in 2017 and a spa day is a big part of this – giving you time to relax, recoup and get back to basics, putting all your energy into you. I hadn’t visited Aqua Sana Spa before but I was blown away by it’s sheer size and modernity. Set amongst the natural forest at Center Parcs’ Woburn Forest location the spa is the first of it’s kind in Europe spanning 7,200sq metres. Located just 50 minutes from London St Pancras, Aqua Sana offers a truly relaxing experience with six unique, nature-inspired spas to journey through, with 25 experience rooms and two of the experience rooms are world firsts – Mineral Room and Sensory Experience – and there’s a spectacular outdoor infinity pool with views of the forest and six beautifully designed Spa Suites.
You can imagine my delight when Good Spa Guide invited me to a bloggers spa day, to check out a pretty new pop up spa from [comfort zone]. The brand is an Italian product house established in by pharmacist and cosmetic chemist Davide Bollati in 1996. The brand grew and grew and now creates products that combine a soulful, healthy, sustainable lifestyle with advanced science-based solutions.
Comfort Zone skin analysis
This was super helpful for me – the [comfort zone] skin analysis session which you can get when you visit helps you look deeper at your skin and then the team at Aqua Sana help tailor the products to suit your skin tone, age and sensitivity. They use a small machine which measures things like hydration, elasticity and definition.
My skin has been bad over the past few months with acne (I will be going into this soon!) and I was eager to find out more. It turns out I have great skin, and the acne must be simply down to hormones and diet. This was really useful to learn and I was able to pick products that suited my skin.
To go alongside the analysis, [comfort zone] were also offering spa treatments using their products, again tailored to your personal skin tone. [comfort zone] have a beautiful array of treatments, which are unique to you, and we all finished our treatments feeling amazing. I went for the Himalayan Salt Ritual which was unlike anything I had tried before. Alongside the tranquil music, and the smells from the products I felt like I was in heaven.
I have visited many a spa, but never actually sat down to one of the sessions they offer as part of your day. I am so glad I did for the [comfort zone] talk as we were told about the products in detail and got to try some of them on our skin; preparing our faces for a day of relaxation. We removed our make up, applied toners, serums, masks and creams, before using a hot cloth to cleanse our skin. Our lovely therapist taught us a lot about the [comfort zone] brand and their three pillars supporting the whole ethos – skin, science, soul. She also walked us through some great tips for managing stress and anxiety – offering some great wellbeing tips for everyone in attendance.
I had such a wonderful day at Aqua Sana Spa, thoroughly enjoyed learning more about my own skin and I cannot wait to come back for another visit very soon. I didn’t even get round to exploring half of the spa, it’s so big! Thank you for Comfort Zone, Good Spa Guide and Aqua Sana for the invite, I had a brilliant time!
*I was invited to Aqua Sana Spa for a complimentary visit but all opinions are my own, as always.
