5 Festive Things I am looking forward to this Winter

So winter is well and truly here, and I could not be happier. I love this time of the year, and the run up to the Christmas period. It is a time of year filled with love and laughter, surrounded by friends and family. October – December is going to be quite quiet for me too, with only a few trips booked in including a trip to the Cotswolds with the girls, lots of time spent at home relaxing watching Christmas films, and a wreath making workshop at Daylesford Farm. I am already beginning to feel quite festive….

Wreath making at Daylesford Farm – In November I am heading off to Daylesford Farm near Stow-on-the-Wold with my friend Sophie for a wreath making workshop. The workshop is for four hours, where we will learn how to pick your own natural foliage and blooms, and then create a beautiful arrangement for my front door. We then will get lunch, before heading to the Haybarn spa for a quick dip. I can’t wait!

Seeing friends and family – Why is it that we only ever dedicate time to our loved ones around Christmas? Regardless its the time of year I spend the most time catching up with friends, and seeing family. And this year I can’t wait!

The Cotswolds – I am off to The Cotswolds in December for a long weekend with some of my favourite blogging ladies – Ellie, Liv, Kara and Sam! We are staying at the stunning Log House Holidays who have lakeside cabins, which will be all decorated festive on the inside! Log House Holidays have an array of cabins for up to 12 people and are perfect for the winter getaway!

Festivities – I cannot wait for the festivities to begin – I can’t wait to get the tree out of the loft, get the fairy lights up, turn on the log burner, and spend time watching Christmas films, and wrapping presents. The atmosphere is something I love, and it makes me feel all warm inside.

Spending time at home – After a manic few months I am ready to hibernate. I am excited to throw on those comfy joggers and slouchy jumper, with the log fire on in the background and ELF on the TV. Give me a hot chocolate and pizza party any day!

Christmas market trip with the neighbours – It’s booked! We are off to Nottingham for two nights to be merry and explore the Christmas market. Since moving in to our new house we have become such great friends with our neighbours, and we are taking it to the next level by going away!

Getting back my best friend – At Christmas I get my bestie bestie back after five months of her travelling around South America and I cannot wait to have a catch up with her. I can’t wait to hear all of the stories!

The November topic is journeys; figurative, literal, metaphysical, down the road for a PSL. Your choice!

Ooooh I LOVE the Cotswolds – always so pretty and picturesque, I bet it’s going to be so lovely around Xmas time! I love December when everything starts to slow down and you can really soak up that family time! How lovely that you get your BFF back – will be so amazing to see each other after all that time apart!
