My Travel Plans for 2019

There’s nothing better than planning ahead which is why I’ve started planning my trips for 2019 already! So far I have four trips booked in between now and June, plus a few other weekend breaks —> see below for more! Here is what I am planning to get up to over the coming months….

Travel Plans for 2019

MY TRAVEL PLANS

January – Meribel, France and Henley-on-Thames

I’ve just returned from a wonderful ski trip to Meribel in France with Ski Total and a few other bloggers and we had a ball. It was so nice finally getting back in to the mountains and breathing in the fresh air. I also conquered my fears at getting back on the slopes after my knee injury last season, so I was super happy to be skiing down the mountains once again. Then at the end of the month we headed to Henley-on-Thames for a weekend away at De Vere Wokefield Estate Hotel for Theo’s birthday – staying in one of their suites at Mansion House. We had a lovely weekend, spent some quality time together and Theo had a great birthday!

February – Aberdeen, Scotland

Next up is a weekend in Aberdeen for Aberdeen Food Festival. If you know me at all, you’ll know I love food (you only need to go to my Instagram to see I like food) and therefore when they kindly offered me a trip up there I couldn’t decline. I am off to basically do a food tour of the city and I can’t wait! Then towards the end of the month I want to plan another trip somewhere – I have four days annual leave remaining and I need to use it before the end of March. Any suggestions?!

March – Italy and Manchester

In March it’s all about love! Firstly we are heading up to Manchester to visit our best friends, who have just moved there from London. It will involve lots of catch ups, eating, drinking and much more. And then towards the end of the month me and Theo want to head out to Italy to start are wedding venue search (YUP – we want to get married in Italy!) so we’ve got some venues we’d like to visit and hope when we are there we will pick out venue!

April – TBC

Another TBC as I don’t currently have anything booked in but I’d like to have a small trip – however with the Easter holidays sitting right in the middle of the month and flight prices tending to soar around these few weeks I am not sure where we will get to go. I will confirm soon!

May – Cruising and Cyprus

And then it gets busy, I am off on a short cruise again for the launch of a ship (I can’t reveal too much just yet) and then I am off on our annual summer holiday with Arabella to somewhere hot. We are staying at my friend’s gorgeous villa in Cyprus and we plan on having a proper holiday – relaxing by the pool, drinking lots of wine, midday naps and lots of al fresco dining is planned. I can’t wait for this trip – I am super excited.

June – Trento, Italy and Basel, Switzerland

And then before I know it, it’ll be June! Mid way through the year. And June is just as busy with two trips, one to Trento in Italy for the travel blogging conference Traverse with some friends, for lots of learning and of course beers. And then I am off on a road trip around Switzerland with my best friend for a few days exploring Basel and Zurich. I can’t wait to visit this magnificent country!

Sounds like a great few months. Budapest would be my recommendation for a few days away if you’ve never been before. Or Madrid if you fancy better weather. Both cracking cities.
