My Favourite Infinity Pools in Europe – The Hotel Edit

In a recent collaboration with Expedia I pulled together my favourite hotels which have the most magnificent infinity pools in Europe. If you know me at all, you will know how much of a water baby I am – everywhere I go, I am always looking to be close to water, whether it’s a lake, river or beach.

And swimming pools are my must-have when it comes to choosing a hotel for my holidays each year.

I listed my six favourite hotels with infinity pools, with have another 6 I’d like to add to my original collection. Here are some more of my favourite infinity pools in Europe that didn’t make it on to my other list on The Hotel Edit.

Epic Sana Lisboa, Portugal

The infinity pool at The Epic Sana Lisboa is one of the coolest pools I’ve ever seen, at Lisbon’s coolest hotels. The hotel’s infinity pool is on the ninth floor and is particularly beautiful at sunset when you can witness Lisbon’s famous golden glow with a cocktail in hand from the terrace bar.

The terrace offers views across the city, of the streets below and the ocean further beyond. And downstairs you’ll find a large indoor pool complete with fountain jets and a relaxation area.

Greece is no stranger to luxury hotels and infinity pools, and the Katikies Hotel is no exception. The hotel offers incredible views across the Caldera basin and the Aegean Sea from their stunning infinity pool. The pool has its own bar so you can enjoy a cocktail or two and is one of three pools on the resort.

Lefay Resort & SPA, Italy

The Lefay Resort & Spa is a hotel after my own heart. Their eco-sustainable and wellbeing conscious ethos is something I really admire from hotels. And not only this, they also have a spa complete with unbeatable infinity pool which looks out over stunning views of Lake Garda. If you’re seeking sheer indulgence, a secluded and peaceful environment and a holistic approach to your holiday you should look no further than the Lefay Resort & SPA Lago di Garda.

The Cambrian Switzerland

The Cambrian, Switzerland

I always imagined getting engaged somewhere like this… there’s still time right?! I am adding this place to my bucket list for 2019 because I’ve got to experience The Cambrian’s incredible infinity pool overlooking the Swiss Alps. The infinity pool sits 4,400 feet above sea level and offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks in every direction. And it’s only minutes from the ski resort in Adelboden.

Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, United Kingdom

Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard, United Kingdom

The stunning infinity pool at the Shangri-La Hotel, is located in London’s most famous hotel at the top of The Shard. The pool is on the 52nd floor of the building in the sleek Gŏng bar. It is now the highest pool in Western Europe and offers guests an intimate place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The views from the pool are exceptional, looking out across St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and Westminster.

Hôtel Les Roches Rougesy

And lastly, but not at all least, we’re going au natural. The incredible boutique hotel Les Roches Rouges offers something I don’t know any other hotel has (don’t fact check me on this!) an outdoor stoned-lined pool right by the surf. This effortlessly cool hideaway is located on the coast, not far from Nice, on the edge of L’Esterel National Park. I can imagine spending all day here, listening to the waves and enjoying the sunshine!
