Since buying our house this April I have been carefully picking items to place on both walls, and surfaces. Prints have played a massive part in the design of our house, whether it be quotes, graphics or photography of nature.
Wall art is an ever-growing trend, one which is not going to stop anytime soon. There’s nothing like wall art to breathe new life into a space, and if you think that counts you out because art doesn’t come cheap, then try wall prints instead. I love dressing my walls with natural and simplistic prints, that add personality to each room.
Whether you double up identical prints to create a statement or mix it up with different designs in similar styles, wall prints can really change how a room feels.
The bedroom must have inspirational and thought-provoking prints, which awake your mind in the morning, or settle you down for sleep. The kitchen should have prints that are related to food, whether that is a butcher’s guide to beef, or a wall print of herbs for cooking. Whilst the office, should have educational or historic links to induce creativity.
Posterlounge are an online art publishing house based in Leipzig, Germany and they have some amazing prints for your bedroom, office and living room. Not only are their prints super cool, capturing all the latest interior trends, they are top quality too. And there is also free delivery on all orders – regardless of product type or quantity.
They have so many beautiful prints including; quotes, imagery and portraits. Rather than opting for themes, I just picked what I really connected with so there was a lot of inspiring quotes, and nature in my basket.

I am going to add a bit of colour to my walls, with the film posters, which I am yet to frame, as well as wilderness specific prints like the fog covered mountain forest poster. My love for being outside and nature is clearly captured in me choosing the woodland and mountain forest scene.
I ordered most of these prints as their paper version, and then went to IKEA to buy a collection of their frames for my prints. I made sure I took sizing notes and photos with me to the shop, so I could buy frames that perfectly suited the print. Because most of my prints were quite simple, I decided to stick to simple black and white frames, in order not to counteract from the classic print.
I then spent an afternoon in the lounge with a cup of tea placing my prints in their relevant frames, and deciding which print would go next to the other. I decided to use the Cloudy Mountain Forest print as the centre piece in my lounge, as it was impactful. And I then place simple prints, alongside the Golden Times and Birch Forest in Winter prints, alongside two others I picked up last year.
The film poster prints I ordered I will use at a later stage, when my attic room is finished. We are currently putting up a new bed, as well as looking at plastering one of the end walls. I will pick up three simple frames for the film prints, and place them together on the wall. I love the colours, and the simplicity of them (obviously) and they’re some of my favourite films to watch with Theo.
