Monthly Favourites – August #5

August was BUSYYYYYY with a full stop. I felt like I hardly sat down, and that was both at the expense of my bank account and mental health. But I had fun, and I got to catch up with lots of friends, and family.

I headed off to London for brunch with my blogging ladies, then I headed to Ragdale Hall with my mum, before departing for Wilderness, and then the next weekend I was in Brighton, and then Amsterdam. It literally ALL happened this month…. so here goes!

At the begging of summer the lovely Joseph at FatFace sent me a couple of pieces from their summer collection, and I then went on to buy another box of the stuff a week later when I fell madly in love with their entire collection. I have literally lived in my FatFace clothes this summer, whether it was their Suki Chambray Shirt Dress, a shirt dress made from a lightweight chambray fabric to add a cool touch to any day, or the Lily Vintage Flora Maxi Dress which I have worn time and time again throughout summer as it’s beautifully patterned and is floaty. For tops, I popped in my basket the stunning Melanie Cami, with pretty broderie details and button-up back, plus a Lottie Jacquard Cami. Honestly when I say everything I mean it…

I headed back to my favourite city for another few days of exploration. We stayed at the wonderful Yays Oostenburgergracht, and we hired bikes. Unfortunately it did rain a lot whilst we were there, but that didn’t dampen our spirits, we grabbed our Marco Polo Travel Guide and simply headed to an array of pubs, and brewery’s! We went to our favourite pub, Brouwerij ‘t IJ, and indulged in beer and cheese, before going to Food Hallen, Gassan Diamonds tour and a trip to the Iamsterdam sign. I will be putting up my ‘Ultimate Guide to Amsterdam’ next week!

Revlon Hair Dryer

I am literally Monica from F.R.I.E.N.D.S both in personality and in hair. When summer rolls around, and the humidity increase my hair goes mental. But then I strolled across Revlon’s Pro Collection™ Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Styler and god had answered my prayers. A hair dryer and styler all in one! The styler puts you back in control, giving you both precision and power. The product glides through hair to detangle, dry and smooth in half the time. Boosted by Ionic Technology® for faster drying, this product has literally saved my life this summer. Say hello to frizz free blowouts!

Indie Bay Snacks

The wonderful ladies and gents at the newly established Indie Bay Snacks sent me a box of their goodies last month, and I have since been fuelling up with these guys. Led both by taste and values, the team had had enough of feeling guilty, feeling hungry and feeling confused. Indie Bay is all about making it easy to do the right thing – eating healthy. Super happy I came across these guys!

Soul Circus

I attended the wonderful 3-day festival extravaganza that is Soul Circus. The festival includes an array of classes, talks and experiences, including yoga classes, meditation sessions, wellness experiences, nutritious food and nourishing music – all housed under Cirque de Soleil-style tents in a Gloucestershire field. I attended this wonderful festival with my amazing friend Ellie, from The Wandering Quinn, and we couldn’t wait to explore, relax and indulge in an array of yoga classes over the weekend. You can read my full post about it here.

Pure Gym

An odd one I know, but since starting personal training, and upping my gym routine each week I have been really loving going to the gym. I joined Pure Gym back in July, and have loved going to the Milton Keynes location three times a week, and working out with Abbie my personal trainer once a week. I am slowly loosing weight, toning, and upping my strength, and I have a 12-week goal to hit for just before Christmas. Wish me luck!

Exploring Brighton

We headed down to Brighton for a relaxed weekend to explore one of my favourite cities, spend time outdoors and head to the outdoor cinema on the beach with Ibis hotels. We picked our film for the Sunday, and opted for Beauty and the Beast (the new one!). We arrived on the Saturday, and after checking into our room at Ibis Brighton, we headed on down to the sea front, where we grabbed an ice cream, and a beer on the beach. Read more about my trip to Brighton here.

Wilderness Festival

Wilderness has always been on my radar – probably because of it’s link with glitter, teepees, clean eating and chilled out vibes. Come join me in this blog post for the most magical of weekends. Wilderness is unique in its approach and like no other festival I have attended. It’s a festival that focuses equally on music, as it does on gastronomy, arts and culture with an array of workshops, sessions and event on throughout the weekend. I was invited by Pimms, and then I also went for a long banquet with the lovely ladies at The Original Muck Boot Company. You can read all about my post here.

France and Disney

I will talk more about this in my September favourites, as there is a bit of an overlap, but YES YOU KNOW, I know off to France for a week next week, and then visiting Disneyland for the day! OH MY GOD.
