Girls Brunch at Bourne & Hollingsworth

Last month, as an extended birthday celebration I got the train in to London for brunch with some of my favourite blogging ladies; Kara at Heels in my Backpack, Ellie at The Wandering Quinn, Sam at Yokomeshi, and Liv at Liv on a Shoestring, and we had a new addition to the gang. Aftab from Fresh and Fearless!

This month we decided to meet at one of my favourite places, Bourne and Hollingsworth in Clerkenwell. B&H has earned a strong presence and reputation from establishing innovative and successful experiential event brands, such as The Chap Olympiad, The Tweed Run, Cocktails in the City and The Prohibition Party, all of which are widely considered landmark events. With two cocktail bars in the West End and a larger multi-faceted club house, bar and restaurant which we visited, B&H is recognised for conceiving and creating beautiful and original interiors with a keen attention to detail and a unique and singular aesthetic.

For brunch we opted for an array of dishes including Banana and fresh coconut pancakes, served with crisp bacon and maple syrup, Courgette pancakes with roasted tomato and caper dressing, Huevos Benedictos – chorizo, avocado, béarnaise sauce, pico de gallo and Baked avocado with runny egg, tomato salsa and toasted soldiers.

And I even went solo and opted for the bottomless cocktails!

All the food was amazing and we got to chat about everything from upcoming travels, to previous trips, blogger hates, and we even got round to planning our own group trip to the Lake District in the Autumn. EXCITED!
