My Travel Plans for the start of 2018

Even before November had ended I had already been planning my adventures for 2018. I had already lined up St Lucia in May, which I am beyond excited for, and I had begun planning my trip to Sweden with the tourist board. Now we are in January I have a few more exciting trips planned and I couldn’t wait to tell you!

January – Yorkshire

It’s Theo 26th birthday in January therefore we are off to Richmond in Yorkshire for a weekend with Holiday at Home at Brompton Lakes! We’ve rented a cabin by the lake and we are off up north with our best couple friends Sophie and Tom. It will be a super chilled weekend and will not involve a lot, other than reading, walking, hot-tubbing and eating!

February – Sweden

In February me and Theo are finally going skiing, TOGETHER! We’ve both been countless times separately, but never together. I am also looking forward to going back to Sweden, and visiting family, as well as exploring Småland, Jonkoping and Isaberg Mountain Resort. I cannot wait to put the skis back on for a few days!

March – TBC

This isn’t confirmed yet, but I am hoping to go to Iceland in March with a friend. I am currently planning the last few bits of this trip but I can’t wait to visit this incredible country. It reminds me so much of New Zealand, and Finland, two countries which I adore! I have annual leave to take before the financial year ends and I thought what better time to go!

April – Dorset

I am off to Durdle Door, Dorset in April for a long weekend with the girls staying at Lulworth Estate in one of their wonderful cottages. We will spent the weekend walking through the quaint villages, visiting the famous Durdle Door, and eating and drinking lots!

May – St Lucia and Isle of Wight

And as if that wasn’t enough, I then take two trips in May. The first to St Lucia and then to the Isle of Wight over the bank holiday weekend. I am so incredibly excited to visit St Lucia as it’s an island I have been dying to visit for years, my dad once lived there in his younger years, and our family, who live in Aruba, visit the island a lot. Me and Theo will be spending a week there exploring the island and finding out what there is to offer and staying with Elite Island Resorts.

And then as soon as we return we head off to the Isle of Wight over the May bank holiday with Arabella. We are staying at Darwin Escapes’ Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat.

And other places I’d love to visit in 2018 include: Zurich in Switzerland, Rotterdam in The Netherlands, Provence in France, Galway in Ireland, Bristol in the UK and if I had unlimited annual leave and money, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Canada!

What are your travel plans for 2018?! Let me know in the comments!

You certainly have some good things planed. Not too sure what we’ll be doing, will probably take the train to Beijing in April/May – it’s a good time to visit weatherwise and there’s no crowds – happy travels !

Those cabins in Yorkshire look lush – going to investigate. On the Isle of Wight, ‘The Hut’ and Colwyn Bay is worth a visit if you have time

What a lovely list Sophie. Brompton Lakes looks rather beautiful – you’ve got me thinking how we really should explore the UK more.
