Another month has flown by, and it’s no surprise with the festive rush about the begin. November was a fun month, but a fairly quiet month. I celebrated Halloween the last weekend of October, before heading in to the depths of winter, and the icy-cold starts in the morning. Also prepare yourselves… it’s a long one this month!
In November I went away for a night with my mum, I celebrated with friends getting their new house, and I also visited Cadbury’s World in Birmingham. I ate so much chocolate!
Y Spa with mum – You must know how much I love a spa by now? I visited the lovely Y Spa again this month but this time with my mum. Y Spa is about health, wellness and rejuvenation and many of those things rely on pleasure. They work on the principle of pleasure, enjoying a lot of what’s good for you and a little of what you like! And as you’ll already know, I love a good spa break…
Pizza Express Festive Menu – Me and Theo went for date night last week and tried the Pizza Express festive menu. As a creature of habit I tend to go for the same thing every time, but instead I went for their Romana Maple glazed Gammon, spiced apricot chutney, goat’s cheese, garlic oil, tomato and mozzarella, finished with fresh parsley and Gran Milano cheese. And crickey it was good! Best pizza I have had in ages, and to top it off, our waitress Amber was a delight!

Fantastic Services – Oven cleaning – Last week I had two lovely guys from Fantastic Services come over to my house to clean our range cooker. We only moved in to the house in April but it had already become a mess inside, and we decided to get it cleaned. I was recommend Fantastic Services and I am so glad I went with them. They did a great job, and kept it all clean both during and afterwards. The oven was sparkling! Book your own service here.
Wreath making at Daylesford with my friend Sophie – I headed to Daylesford Farm near Stow-on-the-Wold with my friend Sophie for a wreath making workshop at the end of the month. The workshop was four hours, where we learn’t how to pick your own natural foliage and blooms, and then create a beautiful arrangement for my front door.
Fisher and Paykal Christmas Dinner – Last week I was invited to the showroom of New Zealand brand Fisher and Paykel in Milton Keynes for my first Christmas dinner. The blogger event was to celebrate their kitchen appliances, and to show us how to make the perfect Christmas dinner with chef Clover Moon. We ate lots of food, and learn’t about making some of the most tasty festive dishes. Thank you to Amanda for arranging!
Cadbury’s World – This was a day out I was looking forward to for ages! I hadn’t been since I was a kid, and I was aching to get back.
Clearspring Protein – I got sent a batch of Clearspring’s NEW Organic Raw Plant Protein Powders and instantly loved the natural protein powders. Available in three different flavours which are made from 100% cold-pressed seeds and is the easy way to increase your daily protein intake. Conquering SAD with Lumie – I often struggle with depression and a worsening anxiety at this time of year. Though it doesn’t totally knock me out, it’s still there, waiting for me to get unwell or have a meltdown. I decided I needed to protect myself from the winter blues. So I got myself one of Lumie’s light therapy lights! Light therapy involves you sitting in front of a light box, from a brand like Lumie, that emits full-spectrum light similar in composition to sunlight. It’s been shown to be very effective for helping people with Seasonal Affective Disorder. It’s been my saviour!
A World Full of Animal Stories – One of my favourite book I bought this month was for Bella. You can travel the world with 50 best-loved tales, featuring creatures big and small. This beautifully-illustrated collection of classic stories brings together favourite animal-themed fables, myths and legends. We’ve enjoyed spending evenings reading these stories together.
NIVEA products – As winter has drawn in, my skin has gotten worse, with both dry patches and acne. So I nipped to Tesco and bought a load of NIVEA’s latest products, including their NIVEA Q10 Plus C Energy skincare and NIVEA Body Essentials range. The Q10 PLUS C Energy skincare range includes Anti-Wrinkle Skin Sleep Cream, Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream and Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream. The vitamin C helps support the skin’s regenerative process overnight.
