Monthly Favourites – October #7

October has welcomed darker mornings, cosy fires, and swapping my summer wardrobe for my winter clothes. It has also meant catching up on sleep, seeing friends and recouping before the festive season. I haven’t had lots of plans this month, and have spent a lot of time at home nesting, and planning my trips for 2018.

Creating wonderful memories with Truprint

In preparation for Christmas I have been putting together some personalised calendars for my family and friends. There’s nothing more personal than getting out the photo albums and putting photos of your nearest and dearest in a calendar for the upcoming year. I have ordered mine through Truprint as they offer great ways to showcase your memories, including photo books, canvas prints and wall calendars. Share your favourite winter moments this festive season, whether that’s a time you spent with family and friends, top moments whilst travelling or the way you decorate your home ready for the colder months or a special occasion.

Going on safari in Kent

This weekend me and Theo took his daughter to experience a safari weekender at Port Lympne Reserve. They are a conservation charity dedicated to protecting wildlife who also work alongside The Aspinall Foundation, as they aim to introduce animals back to the wild. We visited for a weekend in order to get the most of our time exploring their 600 acres, and hundreds of animals. The visited consisted of a private safari, a stay in Rhino Lodge, toasting marshmallows in the Treehouse Clubhouse, feeding the giraffes lunch, meeting Rosie the Rhino and whizzing round the park on our very own golf buggy, A weekend we will NEVER forget!

The Every Girl

I have been obsessed with The Every Girl after stumbling across it last month, thanks to Monica! It’s basically a female LAD BIBLE but far more reserved, including posts on careers, life, wellbeing, fashion, beauty and everything you could need to know about being an adult female in today’s world. I log on every day to see what’s new!

Whether she is searching for her dream job or a new city to call home; is saving for a down payment or a ticket to travel the world; is learning to cook or speak another language, she needs a bit of guidance, she wants to be inspired. She is The Everygirl. This is for her.

Exploring London with John Lewis

This month I worked with John Lewis on the launch of their new interactive tool which enables Londoners to discover new gems in the capital on foot, enabling time-poor urbanites to reach their recommended daily step goals. The new tool called Explore the City, invites users to input their postcode and find activities and attractions in their surrounding area to explore by foot. The tool includes more than 1,000 options and can be filtered by borough, activity type and fitness level, and we’re expecting it to be live over the next couple of weeks. I strapped my FitBit to myself and went exploring Camden, and Shoreditch last month, using the interactive tool as my guide, whilst also tracking my steps throughout the day. The tool allowed me to uncover new activities and areas in London that you didn’t know of before. That’s exactly how I like to spend a weekend! #ExploreTheCity

Delicious Charlie Bigham’s dishes

One of my favourite health ready meal brands has just brought out an array of new dishes and I have loved trying them over the past month. They’re also super easy for work lunches! Charlie Bigham’s bought out six new dishes from around the world including family favourites, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein and Lamb Rogan Josh. With aromatic sauces, spices and fresh ingredients, these promise to deliver a spicy delight, cooked just as you would if you had the time. Rediscover the humble Sausage and Mash with Charlie Bigham’s most indulgent creamy mashed potato yet and a premium Cumberland sausage swirl in a port, red wine, sage and rosemary gravy.  And pie lovers can rejoice with Charlie Bigham’s special takes on Steak & Mushroom, and Chicken, Ham & Leek Pies.

Tokyo Laundry

Last month I put in an order with an old favourite of mine Tokyo Laundry. I order a load of work out gear, which you can buy here, and I also bought my first winter coat of the season. It is a super cosy boucle coat and it the warmest thing I have ever worn. It’s also grey, my favourite, so really do go with every outfit, slouchy leggings, or dressed up jeans.
