Core Shoe Collection for Travel in Spring

Travel is all about the experience, the adventure and the friends you make along the way, but if you don’t travel with the right clothing or shoes, it could make or break that city break or beach retreat.

Shoes are an essential to any trip, and they play a big role in your identity too. I love shoes, like any woman, but I also understand practicality is important. These are my core collection of shoes, ready to get you ready for any eventuality on any trip; my essential shoes for travel.

1. Trainers

Converse and I, we have a bit of history. I first bought a pair back in 2003 when I was beginning my ‘Avril Lavigne Skater Girl’ stage, and have since been a fan. These white Converse are my core shoe. I wear them everyday; to work, to walk in, to the gym, and everywhere in between. They are a classic trainer, and can be dressed up or down, depending on the day!

Brand: Converse

2. Chelsea boots

I mentioned these Chelsea boots before, a black pair should be a staple in every wardrobe. They are durable and good quality, ready for any adventure but can any be dressed up for an evening meal out. This pair from Fat Face are brilliant, well made, waterproof and can be wiped down for a smarter feel.

Brand: Fat Face

3. Low block heels

You never know when you might need a pair of heels for a formal event, so I would suggest keeping a staple black block heel in your collection for those events that need a slightly more formal shoe. These black heels are perfect, simple but classic and brilliant for walking around in, for a long period of time. *Excuse my white complexion, I need the sun!

Brand: Just Fab

4. Covered leather sandals

This pair from Forever 21 are great, smart but comfortable, and can be worn from day to evening. I have worn this pair of shoes walking down the promenade on holiday, and I have worn to more formal meetings in London. They are a great staple shoe!

Brand: Forever 21

5. Loafers

I love this pair of brown leather loafers from Marks and Spencers, they are rigid and strong, and I love a loafer for everyday wear. They are also super comfy and literally go with anything, they go great with a pair of GAP jeans, tights and a skirt, or a dress! I love this colour too as they are typically smart and easy to keep clean!

Brand: Marks and Spencers
