REVIEW: A Blogger Lunch at Rossopomodoro

A Blogger Lunch at Rossopomodoro

Travel Bloggers Unite!

Last month I met up in London with a selection of girls from across the world to chat about all things travel. We got together after meeting in a group on Facebook – some of us are British and living in the UK but some of the girls are living here as an expat in central London. In total there were six different nationalities between the 10 of us – pretty impressive!

We decided to meet in Hoxton, east London and met for lunch at the Italian restaurant Rosspomodoro – which it turns out was a brilliant choice. On arrival I had organised a glass of bubbly for everyone and then we were served olives and bread whilst we all chatted about where we were from and about the countries we had all visited. Sam from the blog Yokomeshi had also bought traditional Christmas crackers with her, to which some of the girls asked what they were. We were completely shocked that it wasn’t a traditional thing to every Christmas dinner! Apparently it’s more of a northern European and Australian thing…. WHO KNEW!

Then mains came and we all had a variety of pizza and pasta dishes all of which were totally yummy and really well presented. Then as a treat we had this incredible donut-churros style dessert with chocolate sauce (the name of the dish escapes me) but it was incredible and we were all left feeling full and bloated after an amazing lunch.

It was such a lovely meet up with a lovely bunch of girls and its meet ups like this that make me truly feel alive – meeting other incredible people with a passion for travel and experiencing the world. It also makes me feel less depressed that I am currently stuck in the UK with this miserable weather and like when you travel that I can still meet great people like these girls despite not being on the road.
