Top Three Bucket List Destinations

I’m writing this blog post as an entry to the Transun bucket list competition. All you have to do is share your three travel bucket list destinations in a blog post and you could be in with a chance of winning a trip for two to see the northern lights in Lapland. How amazing is that?!

Thanks to The Little Backpacker who alerted to this simple competition.

Now I do love a bucket list, you can see my own Bucket List here, so I was extremely keen to do this blog post when I saw that it was 1. A bucket list 2. A competition and 3. A way to reach out to you, my readers.

There is something iconic about Machu Picchu, I always see photos of friends and colleagues who have climbed this magnificent wonder and like The Little Backpacker I imagine it to resemble the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia (which I loved visiting!). In the last year I have also found a passion for hiking so this has got to be one of those dream destinations.

Swimming in the Blue Lagoon, Iceland

Next is the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, mainly because I am just constantly in awe of the 100’s of photos I see online of this amazing destination, from the steam rising from the lagoon, the magnificent scenery and what I would imagine to be the most relaxing place on earth. I am a water baby as it is so I think I would feel completely at peace in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland.

Hike the Trolltunga, Norway

This is a tough one, but one that would be totally rewarding. I mean the scenery itself is to die for, so the challenge and the experience of climbing this incredible area up to this unscientific structure would be another top spot destination. I am told the hike is really tough, but doesn’t it make it all worth it when you finish to this view?

You can enter this competition too by writing your own blog post about your three top bucket list destinations and then tweeting your blog link to @Transun using the hashtag #TransunLights
